The mission of the "Meaning and Moxie After 50" podcast is to inspire and empower listeners to live fulfilling lives by embracing change, seeking meaning, and pursuing their passions. The show aims to create a community where individuals can share their stories, gain insights, and support one another in navigating the challenges and opportunities that come with this transformative stage of life. By promoting a positive outlook on aging, the podcast seeks to redefine what it means to thrive after 50.
For more than 35 years, Leslie has been designing life-enrichment and educational programs that inspire and empower people at the high school, college, and community levels. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and a master’s from the University of Central Florida. In 2005, she further expanded her expertise by becoming a certified life and stress management coach through the Spencer Institute and the HeartMath Institute.
These days, her passion lies in retirement coaching, helping people not just retire but truly rewire for a fulfilling second act. She believes life after 50 is less about slowing down and more about hitting your stride.
Leslie thrives on conversations that challenge perspectives and deepen our understanding of ourselves and each other. Her podcast, Meaning and Moxie After 50, is one way she sparks those discussions—along with her online courses and one-on-one coaching, which help people design a retirement that’s anything but boring.
She’s also an author, having written three books: Things to Remember As You Fly From the Nest (a wise send-off for young adults), Mermaid Meg and the Magic Lagoon (because who doesn’t love a little ocean magic?), and Danny’s Adventures with the Ocean Lifeguards (in case you ever wondered what lifeguards really do beyond the red swimsuits and slow-motion runs).
Leslie is married to her college sweetheart, proving that some love stories do last beyond midterms and ramen noodle dinners. Together, they’ve raised two wonderful children. When she’s not coaching, podcasting, or writing, you’ll likely find her outdoors, traveling, or spending time with family and friends—because adventure doesn’t retire, and neither does she.
